The APUS Group develops the first emission-free travel airplane for daily use with a fuel cell drive.
For the integration of the propulsion and cooling system of the APUS i-2 we are looking for an

integration engineer / test engineer (m/f/d)

in full time or as working student (20 hrs per week) close to the airport in Strausberg (near Berlin).

Your areas of responsibility
  • planning, automation and implementation of system tests (electrical, electromechanical) in accordance with standards to be applied
  • setup, maintenance and documentation of simulations of electrical and mechanical systems (Python, Matlab)
  • programming of embedded systems (C/C++)
  • implementing and debugging of complex units
  • supporting the prototype construction (integration of the drive components)
Your profile
  • proficiency in measurement techniques, avionics and flight mechanics
  • experience in the field of electrical systems / electrical engineering / energy engineering
  • experience in the field of planning, integration, implementing and testing of systems
  • experience in the field of modelling of physical problems
  • at least three programming languages on at least two platforms
  • preferably knowledge in documentation, testing und versioning of software

Working Student for a Research Project (m/f/d)

The APUS Group develops the first emission-free and everydayfriction aircraft with fuel cell propulsion, the “APUS i-2”. As part of a research project, an evaluation tool is to be developed that allows mission-specific different propulsion configurations to be optimized. A configuration should be implemented experimentally and validated in a hardware-in-the-loop attempt.

For this project we are looking for a working student for 20 hours per week at Strausberg Airport (near Berlin).

 

Your areas of responsibility
  • design and modelling of aircraft models and propulsion models (Python, Matlab)
  • coordination of the model interfaces with the project partners
  • planning and definition of a test setup
  • it is possible to write a thesis in relation to the topics dealt with
Your profile
  • basic knowledge of flight mechanics and modeling of systems
  • optional basic knowledge and/or interest in familiarization with battery & fuel cell systems
  • good foreign language skills in English
